I have heard my entire life that misery loves company, but Joy is a much better friend, so I choose Joy and now say: “Joy Loves Company” Dr Bruce PurnellThe term “love,” derived from Sanskrit lubhyati, meaning “desire,” is the most potent energy and force in our social world and is universally understood through our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. Most of us have heard that love conquers all, love wins, love heals, and God is love, so I posit that one human behavior that consistently yields positive outcomes is loving more. Love is more robust than logic and science and universally affects all humanity regardless of culture, gender, class, sexual orientation, or other characteristics that allow us to attach “isms.” Love is a shot of adrenaline, endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin, and vasopressin. It involves the limbic system’s basal nuclei, the thalamus, and the hypothalamus, and it can act both as an analgesic and a sedative. Love connects to the sympathetic nervous system’s fight or flight responses, so instead of saying fight, flight, or freeze, we also have the option to love more. Parents wait for their babies to utter love as their first emotional power concept with “I love you, Mommy” and “I love you, Daddy.” There is no question about the importance of how love ultimately shapes our lives. If love happens positively, healthily, and healingly, it will be our most vital protective factor and will be connected to transformative decisions and healthy lifestyles. However, if love is absent or abusive, it will be the most salient risk factor in our life choices, creating cliché sayings like “looking for love in all the wrong places.”Caterpillars, regardless of external pressures, find sanctuary in their cocoons. Within these sacred spaces, they undergo an extraordinary change, metamorphosis, to emerge as butterflies. Similarly, “The Caterpillar’s W.E.B. for Transformation” advocates the cocoon concept as a brave space for journeyers to retreat when they need healing and transformation. Here, we can confront past traumas, practice forgiveness, and align ourselves with an ideology that values love, light, joy, hope, peace, purpose, liberation, and transformation. The requirements are that we have to trust love enough to enter our cocoons, which is one of the reasons it is so important to heal from past trauma.Thank You for being Brave enough to join this journey of Healing, Love, Transformation, and Forgiveness!
